The family believes in only working with local, indigenous Piemontese grape varieties and fiercely defends local winemaking traditions both in the vineyard work and the cellar practices. As you would expect from winemakers like that Galli from Poderi Cellario is a fantastic Nebbiolo, and a real Piedmontese gem. Made with Nebbiolo from Farigliano along with a portion from Treiso Barbaresco, in the classical style of a young Nebbiolo, it is powerful with nice acidity and earthy tannins. Charming aromas of prune, forest floor and tobacco are instantly recognisable. Delicious and sturdy with plenty of varietal forest cherry, underbrush, and spice, that bites through the back end. Full of character and full of flavour!
