Description

Nestled in the South Downs near to Brighton in the shadow of Devil’s Dyke the Poynings Grange vinyard spans 6 acres. First planted in 2010 and with a first harvest in October 2013 Rupert and Esme Crowther produce some exceptional English wines using minimal intervention methods. They grow the classic three grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, and Bacchus, from which they make their wines.

This Bacchus is a dangerously easy drinking Sussex white. It displays lovely crisp lime and green apple notes on the nose that follow through to a lush palate full of English hedgerows with fresh acidity and a crisp citrus twist full of minerality on the finish.
