This bright yellow wine bursts with aromas of citrus fruit, apple and peach all underscored by a nice fresh effervescence and sharp mineral notes. The palate is elegant, complex and silky with very subtle tannins providing decent body to the experience. Overall this unusual Macabeo has a pleasant freshness and a satisfying, long persistent finish. Lovely with light herbaceous pasta dishes, risottos or even a cheeky fruit salad.

Description
Dutchman Derrick Neleman studied to become a biodynamic farmer. After his training he ended up on vineyards in Spain and realised this is where he wanted to make his own wine. He settled in Valencia and focusses on making wines which reflect the terroir. All Neleman wines are made without the use of pesticides or additives and are certified vegan. The vines are planted on little earthen terraces with olive and almond trees which helps creates a natural equilibrium, and “ecology” of its own in the vineyard keeping it free of herbicides and fungicides.
Macabeo generally produces tasty fruity wines, as in this case. This organic wine is nice and fresh with tropical accents such as lychee and pineapple. Due to its fresh character, the wine is very drinkable and served nice and cool, it’s at its best! This white wine is made from ripe Macabeo grapes, a typical Spanish grape variety that you encounter throughout Spain and is also often used to make Cava. In some regions, the grape is called Viura. Light, fresh and fruity.
