Description
Moulin de Gassac was created in the early 90s by the father and founder of Mas de Daumas Gassac, Aimé Guibert. As a result of his discovery of the exceptional amphitheatre site of Villeveyrac, an unusual partnership was born. Following the introduction of the vine pulling-up premium, he began a to work with the vine growers in this area with a view to saving its plots. The Moulin de Gassac Selection played a decisive role in preventing the disappearance of this terroir.
Part of their varietal range, Moulin de Gassac Syrah is a deep violet red, with very ripe red fruit and a touch of leather on the nose. It’s gloriously juicy and jammy with plush ripe blackberry fruit. The finish is warm, fruity and concentrated and displays a good tannic structure. An open and satisfying wine with good length and a subtle savouriness.
