Description
Full-bodied red wine that shows musky berry flavors with firm tannins. Aglianico is a very ancient grape variety, introduced to Italy by the Greeks in the 7th or 6th century BC. A robust wine that shows excellent fruity characteristics to start with flavours of black cherry and plum. These are complemented by the grapes characteristic savoury notes of pepper and leather and strong tannins on the finish. Pair this intriguing wine with Sourthern Italian classics such as Pasta alla Norma, Porceddu Sardo, Arrosticini or Burrata.
